Welcome to Jennifer Mason Photography
Hi, I’m glad you stopped by my page. Take some time to sit down and immerse yourself in the amazing birth stories, beautiful maternity photos and fun family pictures that you will find on my blog. I truly love what I do and it comes out in the work that I create.
A few months ago, my friend and fellow photographer Erica who lives in Bend, Oregon, did a styled photoshoot together with several expecting mama’s. I am really behind in getting this on the blog, but its been a busy summer of photography! Now that I am finally catching up, I’m really excited to share some of my favorites from that day. We had such a blast building off each others ideas and we got some amazing images! Here are a few of my favorites from Jen’s session.
I am really excited to share my latest video fusion of a how homebirths can be a great option for many low risk patients and how comfortable it can be for the whole process.
I’m really excited to share a new product for Jennifer Mason Photography, videography! What a great way to share your digital files and add a personal touch with video to remember those little things, […]
When I started this blog series, doulas in action, I was excited to share just what a doula does for the mother and family during birth; my goal has always been to increase awareness about using a doula’s services. The images here show just how much help a doula can give a family during the time of delivery. Here, you can watch Sara of Cocoon Birth and Colorado Inspired Birth, support this mama during her labor at our local birth center in Denver, Mountain Midwifery Center.
The thing that I find most helpful about doulas, is that they are with you through your whole labor. That means, every contraction, at home and in the place of birthing. This is awesome because while nurses, OBs and midwives are there to keep you and baby safe, the doula is there for pure support. Here is what the mama, Christina, had to say about Sara. “Sara did an amazing job as our doula! She helped me work through some intense contractions by suggesting different labor positions which helped my labor move along. She was a calm presence by my side and very attentive to what I needed. Sara has continued to be a support and friend for our family during a very hectic time as our baby has had some special health concerns.” During each contraction Sara was right with mom, applying double hip squeezes which help with back labor pains (this baby was posterior), she also gave support in her quiet encouraging words. It seemed to me that Sara knew exactly what to do for this mama, at any given moment, and she did it all with a smile on her face. This family was welcoming their second daughter, so while dad helped with their toddler, Sara was there to support mom. I asked Sara about her doula services and she said; “My work is my passion and purpose, I am honored to serve all the families I connect with.” […]
I’ve been super busy with building my new website, and all the photo sessions that I’ve had this summer, that I am way behind on blog posts! This shoot was done back in June, and at that time little man was 4 months old. Now we are getting ready to plan his 6 month photo shoot! I must admit, I really love doing 3 month pictures, babies are much more aware at this time, they smile and are so proud of their accomplishments. This little guy is no exception.
Can’t wait to continue watching you grow, Liam. Take a minute to check out some of my favorite shots from the shoot done as a lifestyle session at the families beautiful home.
