Jennifer Mason takes photos of brand new babies at Henry Ford Allegiance Healt

Michigan Fresh 48 Photography

Many families in Michigan are interested in having their baby's first day documented, but aren't quite ready for a birth photographer.   That's ok!  I still love capturing your first day as a family and there are so many small details that you won't want to miss.  As a Michigan Fresh 48 and birth photographer I am grateful to document these stories for you.

I can actually remember the smell of the hospital room when I look at my photos from my child's Michigan Fresh 48 session.  It brings back so many memories for me;  her tiny wrinkly feet that got smooth so quickly after birth, the postpartum room where we spent several nights learning how to be a family of three, the night nurse's name who helped me to breastfeed my baby, the rooftop view (of the top of the roof) from my hospital room, the bassinet we pushed her around in when I felt like I needed to get out of the room, and just SO much more.  You'll have these details too and you'll want to remember them.

For all of my Michigan Fresh 48 sessions I will come to your hospital or home approximately 1-3 days after birth.  I'll stay for 1-2 hours and document all of the little details that you won't want to forget.  I include an announcement photo with your session as well!

These are big moments and investing in them is SO worth it.  It's also important to have a professional birth or fresh photographer to document these sessions, because they require 'call' time.  As your photographer won't be taking a last minute summer vacation around your due date and scheduling your session is my priority, even if you are discharged from the hospital the next day.  I'm on call for you, whenever your baby decides to come.

Fresh 48 Session $450 for a photo package.  Fresh 48 Session with video is $700.
