Lisa + Ian, Winter Park Wedding in the late summertime
I got a call from Lisa about just a few weeks before her wedding, she heard of me through another of my brides and asked if I was available the following weekend for their Winter Park family wedding. Lisa explained that they had recently gotten engaged and decided to forgo the plans of a huge wedding to get married right away! It was a perfect two weeks of planning and Lisa and Ian's family were able to come out on short notice. Lisa bought her dress off the rack, and it's stunning; and they had a very sweet and romantic wedding, surrounded by a loving family, on a cool late-summer afternoon in Winter Park.
Lisa got her hair and makeup done at a local salon with her niece, friend and sister in law. The three smiled and laughed, it was a perfect morning in such a beautiful location, Winter Park.
I love her hair so much. It was the perfect style for Lisa and for the day.
The couple got married at a house in Winter Park that the family had rented for a reunion, we went back there to finish getting ready and for the ceremony.
Lisa got her lace wedding dress off the rack (well, off the internet, after trying on several, she sent some back) and she wore her cowboy boots and a pair of colorful socks. It was perfect for her, and their day.
She got ready upstairs, polished off her vows and had a glass of wine.
Lisa and Ian decided they wanted to do a first look, before the ceremony. It was a very emotional and sweet moment, usually no-one is around for the first look, so its a pretty special moment between the couple that I am lucky enough to be a part of. <3 These two are very sweet and very much in love! It was an emotion first look, and it was hard not to share so many images.
Tears, smiles, laughter, love!
This is one of my favorite images from that day (above). We did most of the bridal shots before the ceremony. It was a perfect way to relax and enjoy your soon-to-be husband and friends before the vows.
After we got some shots of the bride groom and the bridal party, which were their best friends, then the ceremony happened on the big front porch! It was such a great ceremony to be a part of, it was very chill, everyone was in the front yard and the bridal part walked down the porch to the front. The family all had smiles on their faces, and a sweet word to say. The rain started to come in just as the sweet couple walked down the aisle. Good thing rain is great luck!
After the ceremony the sun came out and we took some more shots with this amazing light.
Let the dancing begin!
This little guy was happy to photo-bomb many of our shots and clearly people feed them around here. Foxes have a special place in Lisa's heart (mine too), so I was happy to grab a few of this little guy.
Lisa's family made all of the food, it was amazing! Seriously, it was so so so good! They were kind enough to send me with a 'to-go' box that we ate for the next two days. It was amazing.
After dinner and cupcakes, the family sat around and gave toasts to the new couple. It was very touching.
Thanks so much for choosing me to share in such a wonderful day, Lisa and Ian. Its been great getting to know you and its clear you will have years of love and happiness in your future and a wonderful family to support you along the way.
