Family Reunion Photos, Multi-Generational Photo at Red Rocks
I was asked to do a photo shoot for a large group, 17 people and admittedly, I was a little nervous. Large groups can be hard to photograph because you are trying to get at least 1 shot where everyone is looking at the camera, smiling and likes the way they look. This can be hard! We do large family portraits every year with my family and someone is always not looking or has their eyes closed, no matter how many shots we take. But the "K" family showed up, looking great, smiling and happy on this beautiful Colorado day, just before Thanksgiving and I knew the pics would turn out great. Here are just a few of my favorite shots; we had enough time to take several group shots and shots of the individual families.
I really like this photo, mostly because I love the smile on mom's face. I'm sure this is the real smile that the family sees everyday, since we all have different 'camera' smiles.

The Grandparents and kiddos. Every family has their own way to take photos, like the ever popular 'cheese', but this family would cheer and clap. Applause! Hurray! Who wouldn't smile when their parents and family are cheering at them. This is what I am going to try the next time with my daughter or the next kid photo shoot. :D
Thanks so much "K" family, you were a lot of fun and what a great family!
