Maternity Session in the Woods in Chelsea, Michigan

There is something so special about maternity sessions in nature in Chelsea, Michigan. The forest and water and the changing seasons in nature compliment the changing seasons within life.

This gorgeous family is welcoming their 3rd baby and she will have two very excited older siblings to hold her and play with her. The family is planning a homebirth with midwives from Gentle Mama Holistic Midwifery.

When they arrived to the session we started in the woods, walking down the path and taking photos along the way. The kids played, mom and dad hugged and kissed, and we did lots of cuddle piles and snuggly photos. After being in the woods for a while, we moved to the water. It was a hot evening and it felt so good to step into the water. The kids played and we had a blast! There is nothing quite like enjoying your pregnancy session in nature.
